KNITTING TECHNIQUES

Slip Knot 
• CO = Cast On Long Tail Method
• K = Knit Stitch
• P = Purl Stitch
Change Yarn Colors
• SPRING STITCH (see video and written instructions below)
• BO = Bind Off


MATERIALS for Spring Bobble Stitch

My samples were created with size 7 US knitting needles and worsted weighted cotton yarns (Sugar N Cream). Feel free to use any size yarn, fiber, and needles for your creative project.

• Yarn in any weight, fiber, & color of your choice
• Knitting Needles sized appropriately for your yarn
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle

HOW TO KNIT THE SPRING BOBBLE STITCH

WRITTEN KNITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Spring Bobble Stitch

SPRING BOBBLE TECHNIQUE

  • Insert needle as if to knit
  • Wrap yarn around both needles counter-clockwise ten times
  • Knit through & off the needle
  • Unravel spring coil along yarn tail
  • Cinch spring coil by pulling yarn tail

SPRING BOBBLE PATTERN

Cast On in Multiples of 4

Begin with 3 Rows of Stockinette Stitch

  • 1 – Knit All
  • 2 – Purl All
  • 3 – Knit All

Row 1: * P1, Spring Stitch, K1, P2 *
(repeat pattern within asterisks)
ending with just P1

Row 2:   Knit All

NOTE: If you wish to change yarn colors, do so now.

Row 3: * P3, Spring Stitch, K1, P2 *
(repeat pattern within asterisks)
ending with P3

Row 4:   Knit All

NOTE: If you wish to change yarn colors, do so now.

Repeat Rows 1 – 4 until your work is the length you desire
