Pennant Pleating Texture Design

Let’s take a close look at our Pennant Pleating Stitch Pattern, seeing exactly how those knits and purls are knitted together to make this graphic design.

  • Knit and Purl Design: Each 6-stitch column is stacked atop each other with a simple combination of knits and purls, so the stitches create a pleated, overlapping texture.
  • 8-Row Repeat: This 8-Row Repeat Knit Stitch Pattern looks complex, but it’s an repeat of easy techniques.
  • Reversible: This is a reversible pattern, meaning that both sides of your work, the Right and Wrong sides, are identical.
  • Knitted Project Ideas: Here is a wonderful design to create knitted items that show off both sides of your work, like scarves or blankets.
  • Similar Knit Stitch Patterns: The Flag Stitch and Pique Triangle stitches are similar to this design.
