About the Sand Stitch
Row Repeat: Knit up the Sand Stitch in a simple 2-row repeat.
Stitch Techniques: A series of easy knits and purls create the raised pattern.
Easy-to-Memorize: As we are knitting just two rows with simple knits and purls, this texture is easy to knit on the go, as you can memorize the pattern without needing to refer to the written pattern.
Knitted in the Round: This pattern includes written instructions below to knit it in the round. Try it out with either circular or double-pointed needles.

Knitting Projects: Easily adds a pop texture to knitting projects when designing blankets, scarves, and hats.
Lays Flat: It is a favorite stitch choice because this pattern easily lays flat.
Not Reversible: This is not a reversible pattern because the right side of the work displays the design, but the wrong (back) side does not. In fact, the wrong side of this pattern is actually the Broken Rib Stitch texture.
