The Parallelogram Stitch Pattern creates a modern texture of interconnecting diagonal angles. This 16-Row Repeat Knit Stitch Pattern is an easy combination of knits and purls. When lightly blocked, it holds a flat shape that is perfect for scarves, pillows, and blankets.
This is an easy level project. You’ll get all the materials, techniques, video tutorials, and free written pattern instructions to knit this pattern both flat on straight needles and in the round on circular needles when you continue reading below. This pattern is also found on pages 67-68 of my Knit Stitch Pattern Book.

CLOSER LOOK at the Parallelogram Stitch Pattern
Take a look at how easy knits and purls are knitted together to create this graphic design. The Parallelogram shape has opposite sides both parallel and equal in length, creating a beautiful symmetry. As a result, the diagonals of the parallelogram bisect each other with congruent triangle shapes. Intersecting Chevron shapes emerge, as well! Additionally, the Parallelogram Stitch is a reversible pattern, meaning that on both sides of your work, the Right and Wrong sides look identical.
