INSTRUCTION OVERVIEW FOR KNITTING YOGA SOCKS

The complete Printable Knitting Pattern is available below. Here’s a quick little overview with images to help you see the construction of this easy quick-knit project.

Begin by Casting On the number of stitches, based on the size desired.

In the first six rows, we knit in the 1×1 Rib Stitch Pattern to create the bottom edge that will wrap around the sole of your foot.

The we will knit ten rows in the Stockinette Stitch Pattern.

Pro Tip: If you are going to get a little creative as you go along, keep a written log of your stitches and when you’re switching colors so your second sock will easily match. Feel free to change yarn colors at any time!

On the 17th row, Cast Off half of the stitches on your needle, then Knit the remaining stitches.

On the 18th row, purl all stitches on your needle, then Cast On those stitches using the Cable Cast On Method to place the same number of stitches you originally cast on.

From rows 19 to 46 (or more), continue knitting in the Stockinette Pattern to create the ankle portion.

The last six rows are in the 1×1 Rib Stitch, just like how we began.

Finish with the Stretchy Bind Off, which helps the top of your socks to be flexible and easy to put on.

Then you will seam up the edge to complete your project.

Make two and you are done… namaste!
